SPORTS REVIEW

Bucyrus Redmen Fans,

Our spring sports seasons are nearing their end and our postseasons will begin very soon!  Enjoy some of the upcoming good weather and make sure that you get out and watch our teams as they reach the most important time of their seasons.

Take a close look at the track results as two school records were broken over the weekend.   In addition to the record-breaking times, Randy Banks’ high jump would have tied for second at last year’s 2022 State Meet.

Baseball:  Riley Parker continues hitting well with a .431 BA.  The team enters into a big week highlighted by traveling to Ashland University for a matchup vs. St. Joe's Tuesday and at home for their Senior Night on Wednesday.  The team also received their tournament draw and will play at Lakota in the first round.

Softball: Our girls got the win on Senior Night against Seneca East by a score of 5-3.  Adri Clark, Sierra Frost, Maddison McDaniel, Lexi Payne, and Addy Rister all played their last regular season home game.  The team most likely will finish their regular season in 5th place in the league.  Tuesday, this group gets the added bonus of hosting a home sectional softball game against Willard at 5 PM.

Tennis:  Carson Kalb and Cambria Wolff won the first doubles match against Fostoria while Maddie Kimmel and Layla Ellis won the second doubles.  The tennis team has a few more matches this season but the week is highlighted by the sectional tennis matches at Shelby on Thursday.

Track:  The boys placed 1st at the Bob Knoll/Hopewell Loudon Invitational and broke multiple meet Records.  The girls placed 5th as a team.
